Loved ones with Alzheimer’s have increased level of confusion, disorientation, and are scared of others in their new environment in a nursing home. Their learning curve is slow. Your videos involving daily greetings, daily orientation, and daily assurances and encouragement will calm them down and help reorient to their current surroundings. You can let them know that that they are in good hands, nurses are there to help them clean, feed, and bath. Encourage them to participate in physical, speech and occupational therapy.
Please remember that your loved ones have the most faith in you and they trust you the most! Your inputs will help them to transition and live in their new environment.
